Wyalusing's History--Crawford County History

As the site of Ft. Crawford, it became an important outpost in the settlement of the wild west, and a place of important advances in medicine.  It was the second settlement in what is now Wisconsin.  As St Mary's Academy, it was a place of education and contemplation for girls.  As Wyalusing Academy, it became a haven for education and treatment for foster kids.  Now the next chapter of this incredible site is in development--as Wyalusing Commons.
